Bad Jews and Tartuffe

OPEN AUDITIONS: August 30 & 31, 2016

BAD JEWS

On the night of their grandfather’s funeral, two cousins go to war over a family heirloom. On one side is the unstoppable and self-assured force of “Super Jew” Daphna. On the other is the immovable (and entitled) force of her secular cousin, Liam. Caught in the middle are Liam’s unexpected outsider girlfriend and his non-confrontational brother Jonah – both trying to avoid the line of fire.

PLACE: Diamond Theater, Zoellner Arts Center

TARTUFFE

In 17th Century Paris, the spiritual con-man Tartuffe has taken control of Orgon’s household, with Orgon’s blessing. Neither wife, children, brother-in- law, nor sharp-tongued maid can get Orgon to see the true nature of Tartuffe. It takes extraordinary measures to expose the lusty hypocrite, but all too late—Orgon has given Tartuffe his home, his fortune, and his daughter! It would take near-divine intervention to untangle this mess…
