The development of any new theatrical production is a collaborative process between actors, the director and the playwright. Darius Omar Williams’ latest professional project found him onstage in Minnesota last November helping to develop a new play.
The Department of Theatre engages discerning students interested in all aspects of theatre studies.We are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre and offers a comprehensive curriculum, encouraging a well-rounded foundation in theatre studies in the context of a liberal arts education. Students may concentrate in directing/acting, design/technical production, playwriting and theatre history/literature. We offer extensive hands-on experience in high-quality facilities – the vibrant Zoellner Arts Center – and produces as many as 14 productions each year. We place an emphasis on the diversity of our students, faculty and staff as well as the content of the production program.
